Fundamentals  This is our entry level course for beginning computer users.  Have some fun developing mouse and keyboard skills with exercises using simple applications as well as learning the basics of Windows and hardware.  Students will receive detailed handouts and practice files.  This is a four week course and meets for 2.5 hours each week.

Introduction to Computing  After Fundamentals, take this course to expand your knowledge and proficiency in common home computing applications. One class will be dedicated to each of the following: 1) Word Processing with MS Word, 2) Windows, 3) Spreadsheet with MS Works, 4) The Internet & email. For students wanting more instruction in basics and graduates of Fundamentals.  This is a four week course.

MS Word 2007  Using the newest Microsoft word processor, learn how to create & edit word-processing documents, format them in different ways, use columns, color, graphics, etc.  Class is limited to six students.  This is a four week course.

Keeping Track With Excel Begin to learn one of the most powerful tools on your computer with this veteran teacher.  A spreadsheet can help you track and plan many aspects of your finances, stock portfolio, and other assets.  Use it for a mailing list or address book.  Calculate & track your car’s gas mileage and your golf handicap.  Create your own uses.  Students need basic computer skills.

Internet & Email  Improve your e-mail and web surfing skills using Internet Explorer & Outlook Express.  Topics include: How the web works, Receiving and sending different kinds of email, Using search tools, Search methods, How to setup Internet Explorer, and Managing your interactions (including cookies).  Students should have experience using the Internet.

Windows Vista  Take control of your Windows Vista computer.  Includes Getting Started, Managing Files and Folders, Customizing with the Control Panel, Security, Maintenance, Performance and Troubleshooting.  Students should have some experience after taking Fundamentals and Introduction to Computing.  Class size is limited.

Printmaster Basics  Do you want to learn to make personalized greeting cards and more? Now is the time to join this class. If you have taken the class previously, this is an excellent time for an update. Using the new PrintMaster Gold we will be doing greeting cards with matching envelopes, business cards, address labels, posters, flyers, letterheads, and calendars. Learn to incorporate your photos into projects . This is a fun, "hands on" idea sharing class.

Photos in Printmaster 16  is a great way to start enhancing your digital photos.  Fix red eye (pets too!).  Crop and re-orient.  Adjust color, brightness and focus.  Create your own screen saver or slide show.  Resize to send in email or for the Internet.  Prerequisite is the Greeting Card class using this application

Advanced Printmaster   For those who have taken the Greeting Cards class.  Using Printmaster Gold 18, learn to make an address book, do mail merge, create event reminders, make certificates, make word bubbles and other fun things.

Greeting Cards Learn the basics to make personalized greeting cards, posters, flyers, calendars, and more in this fun, hands-on class.  Use your own ideas and creativity. The class has been restructured using PrintMaster Gold and includes using your own photos in projects, burning a project to a CD or flash drive. Previous students will enjoy taking it again.

Treasures on the Web  Learn how to find and use the riches of the Internet—many of them free.  Shop, take courses, discover your ancestors, find recipes, write documents, setup a home theater easily, get how-to instructions, get travel tickets and more from safe web sites.  Look at the class site at www.warnerwhite.org.

Quicken Basics Keep track of your check book and credit card transactions.  Learn how to classify expenditures and report on expenses, particularly those which are important at tax reporting time.  Class size is small ensuring the attendee maximum interface with the instructor. Attendees must be proficient in the use of computers and familiar with the facilities of Windows.
